^^ Those binary arrays drive the online status monitoring tests. The information which comes afterwards is the important stuff. I had the log level set up too high. Level 3 = binary, level 2= communications Level 1 = this:

This is a full mode $01 scan from 1-20. Log level 1 presents it in a nice manner. Still working on perfecting things though. Seriously though, the gauges are not the hard part. The hard part will be making the entire display user customizable so each gauge is like a drag-n-drop widget with customizable backgrounds. I could easily slap a gauge up there from the javaFX collection.

Oh, well when you put it that way, it's pretty nifty. Keep up the good work.

Just to keep this updated, work has begun on the GUI. OBD2ner can now process data in an infinite loop. Car requests data>computer receives>computer sends>Car receives>Car Sends information and request> Computer processes and displays and sends more information. It's pretty beautiful. The program is working fully under USB and requires a special little helper script for Bluetooth OBD communiations on Linux. Now I just have to add the human intervention portion.
