Sometimes the friction surfaces will get smoothed out with bad shifting habits. Sometimes they can be 'fixed' by driving. I'm glad it worked out for you.

The clutch pedal is adjustable. Get upside-down under your dash with a couple of small crescent wrenches and you can hardly miss seeing where it adjusts.

does this link work foranyone http://www.hmaservice.com/viewer/content.a...^39845^shop^%24

says the clutch free play should be

Clutch pedal free play6-13 mm (0.24-0.52 in)

Clutch pedal to floor board clearance (When the clutch is disengaged)90 mm (3.6 in)

Clutch pedal stroke Limit145 mm (5.7 in)

It makes sense to me. Did you go under the dash & look around yet?

free play: the distance the pedal moves without doing anything

pedal stroke: the distance the pedal moves

i did it, i made the friction point a bit lower, but i treid to adjust the bolt that sticks out at the top (furtherest point the clutch pedal can reach) but it was prett difficult yo move. is it ncessary that i put that bolt down to the new position?
thanx

2nd post:
ok thanx, so i reduced my "Free play"
but i think my pedal stroke has also been reduced accordingly, (thats why i was trying to bring that bolt down) should i now increase my pedal stroke?
how do i do that?
thanx

3rd post:
come to think of it , i probably do need to make the clutch extend out more, coz now its doing the same thing it was doing b4, just at a lower position, how do i extend the pedal stroke?
i saw a big bolt going thru the pivot point of the pedal, is that what i need to adjust?
thanx again

I think you may be stating your problem in a way we misunderstand. Are you saying that your clutch is not engaging/disengaging properly, or perhaps that the portion of the stroke which 'does something' seems too short?

lol, ok
originally the free play was too much in my oppinion (ive only had this tib for a week)

so i reduced my free play an hour ago.
i'm happy with the free play now.

but in reducing the freeplay, the pedal stroke has been forcefully lowered,

how do i increse the pedal stroke so that after the friction point there is stil a few millimieters of movement for of the clutch pedal to reach the stationary position

lol make any better sense?
