Default high rev, n/a

i see a lot of people putting turbos on beta motors, but what do you guys think about building a high reving, (9,000-10,000 RPMs) n/a motor? what would it take to pull that kind of rpms and what do you guys think the hp would be? just a thought.

Cost-wise, its just silly. The Beta is not meant to be a high-revving motor. The 1.8L engine, from the specs, is better suited for revving that high, but its really pointless. You would have to dig into the engine and change lots of parts that couldn't take the strain, and you would need new camshafts and intake track modifications to get it to make power @ 8000RPM. No point in revving that high if it doesn't make power up there.
