sounds to me it is stuck in neutral. Either one of the cables to the shifter broke or stretched and jammed the shifter into gear.

You do NOT need the clutch to get into or out of gear. ESPECIALLY when the car is turned off.

Mad-Machine is right!

you can take gear out even with working engine (just unpress gas pedal and put in neutral. shifter will move like you pressed clutch).

So it's not clutch related.

Check cables

Also it may be tranny problem - broken fork for example.

I just got off the phone with the hyundai dealership and I am under warrenty until 60k miles!!!! Im going to have to car towed there tommorow hopefully and have it taken care of, its only a matter of 45 miles away though smile.gif

the Tiburon is down there right now, we will know what is wrong with it tommorow when they call me with an estimate (standard procedure w/ me under warrenty)

well I got great news today regarding my tiburon, it is under warrenty and the problem from what I have been informed with was the stress pins, It might be finished as early as friday, but realistically im expecting it late next week
