today when i was coming back from work i was on the toll road doing the 75 speed limit i passed a few who were not doing the speed limit, when i passed i went down into 4th and then once i was passed them back into GRIND then fifth-... thought it was one of my errors so again the oppertunity arose and again in the upper rpm range another grind. when i got off the toll road i tried 5th at a normal rpm range and everything was a-ok, a little stiff but no grind. i recently flushed the tranny fluid and poured in some royal purple about a month ago. it never did this (that i am aware of-... and i keep on top of this stuff) till today. i've got 81k miles on my car, and every other gear is perfect. am i just banging gears or is this a legitament problem? i won't be doing this anymore. any clue?

and yes i searched but this seemed to be a bit more unique as it only happens in the upper rpm range.

wouldn't it do it all the time though? not just at a high rpm? it's a bit firm to get into 5th but everything else is a-ok. if push in the clutch (at higher rpm) and let it out and try again seems to go in w/ ease.

i asked my friend, who has driven my car before, if he ever noticed it-... and he never noticed it. but he did say his old vr-4 would do the same thing. maybe i'm just to rough with it?
