Guy's I need help, as usual.....I am thinking about trying out an OBX LSD, I know poor workmanship and stuff but the guy who is selling on ebay is a very good seller, I have dealt with him before. I just need help deciding wether this LSD will fit my 1998 tib.

As I ask before on a post... this WILL NOT fit the tiburon... thats because it is for a 420A engine... the same used as Chrysler NEON.

If you heard that someone make it fit, just tell me... cool.gif

i heard that the diff is the same between all model eclipses. thats what sasha put in a post about one that he won off ebay.

anyway, i did a ton of reading up on obx diffs. a lot of people use them, expecially in the honda crowd, and they seem to like them. the only issues i have read deal with improperly torqued bolts in the diff. its supposed to be an exact copy of the quaiffe, except it isnt as accurately put together. if you go through the thing and make sure the bolt are not loose though, it seems like its a good unit(kind of weird with such a precision unit, but that seems to be the general consensus).

i emailed obx, and they dont make them for the 4g63 motor which is what we would use as our diff.. they do NOT have a LSD for the turbo version or the 4g63 version for the eclipse talon.. now i dont think the diff would be the same in the 420a.. it would have to be proven tho..

now these diffs. culd be good LSDs but not hold much hp to them..

so we will have to see. if the 420a diff works im up for buying it ASAP.

I was almost going to buy the obx lsd.
the information that i've read, that the LSD for hyundai 1996-1999 is sames as the lancer rs 1991 - 1996.

But I couldn't get any workshops that could guarantee that they can install the obx.
So I decided to order and pay a deposit for the Cusco 1.5 way LSD.
