ok, thanks. I'm going to check on my nitrous system to see if that could be causing the problem. It is tied into the TPS.

Yeah, i've tried a couple. I usually just use digimoto for everything because it's the best i've found. I'll try some of the other softwares. I have all of them installed.

Well, I guess digimoto isn't all that and a bag of chips. It cannot read our TPS.

Isn't OBD-II supposed to be a set standard where you can get the same information from one car as you do another?

yes, OBD-II is the set standard, but it's really up to the software developer to make sure that their source codes can read all of the info

i'm guessing you are using digimoto 4 right? if yes, then you might need to load up the latest update/bug fix, since digimoto was developed before the multi protocol chip came out

i'll pm you the link, hopefully this will fix it, if not and you want to stick with the digimoto software products... then you have to invest in digimoto 5

You cant calibrate the tps?! In megasquirt thats the first thing you have to do. You load the basemap to start the car off of, then you calibrate the TPS so that it knows what WOT is and what no throttle is. I like that system. (although its a bit off topic, for an obd2 code reader)

I would say that would be an issue though. Either your throttle is sticking, or not opening all the way, or its just reading the signals incorrectly...

^^ no dude, everything is fine. We're talking about two completely different things. You're talking about controlling software and we're talking about reading software. The ECU calibrates everything for you. I use OBD-II to check my values and make sure everything is giving me healthy vital signs (o2 sensor wave forms and fuel trims) when I boost nitrous.

Thanks Jay-M. I'll try it when i get a chance. I would really like to find out how to get a copy of the new PCMScan. That really is the best software for our cars, but it's so darn protected and costs a few hundred bucks. It gives a buttload of info in a easily understandable form.
