Well as the title says my car is acting a little weird, it started about two nights ago when I was driving back from my friends house.
I started to go from a stop sign in 1st gear and once in 2nd I gave her a little gas and it was like the power cut off for a second or two and then it was back.
Ofcourse everyones gonna be like you probly stalled it noob, No I know what a stall is and I was goin too fast for it to stall.

OO yah no lights are on ither, or come on when it happens.

The symptoms-

Usually starting from a stop in 1st gear or once shifted into second the car will bog or kinda stall for a second or two and then be fine again.

Its a hard stall too, like someone turned off the engine and then an came back on.

My assumptions----
Usually I have regular 87 in her, I have plus right now. I get way better gas milage with regular.

Bad gas?

It just got kinda cold here too, thats when it started to happen?

--ALSO my car is an 01 with 34k miles, new plugs and wires, cai and a 1.8l cam.

I need some help on what to check. PLZ HELP my car isn't running right.

something is wrong with your ignition power. It may be a loose fuse or wire.

It could be a bad relay too.

Have you done anything to your car lately?

Pull the one for your system and see if that was it, if it started acting up after your install

If you shift into another gear at the same engine speed, does it do it then also?

It only started a few days ago, and ive had the system in atleast two weeks, Its happened a few times shifting gears, just comming back home from school it did it in first gear hard. Like instant nose dive and then it was fine.

It runs fine, ideling just every once and a while when starting from a stop it die for a sec or two, coem back on, no lights show up.

I might go drive some more to try and pin point it, to when it does it.

What is the system. It's not likely but you could be putting too much strain on the alternator?

I know even the little system I had made the lights dim when the bass hit hard. Is your music turned up loud when this occurs? It takes a lot of power to go full throttle. When My alternator was going out the car would start to die at full throttle but would run fine for a while at partial throttle. I am just throwing things out there....

Check the usual suspects for this type of problem, IAC, that's your idle bypass valve, and your TPS.

Seems like some other people had car-cutting-out problems that turned out to be the ECM... I could be wrong
