Default Header Install on Friday!

Well, it's finally time! The 4-2-1 Headers are finally going in on friday with a custom bent 2.5" exhaust w/out the resonator. If its to loud I'll get one put in later. When i get my car back I'll use my digi cam and get a inside and out side sound of what the new exhaust sounds like. Oooh I can't wait to go stomp some Civics Saturday Night.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT get 2.5" exhuast. I tried both 2.5" and 2.25" and I regret paying my $130 for 2.5" exhaust.

Also, since you don't have any FI, 2.5" will make your car accelerate VERY slow... even with the header.

Get 2.25" exhaust and do not make same mistake that I made.

No, header does not improve that. I tested both 2.5" and 2.25" with 4-2-1 header.

Your 2.5" CAT won't be any problem.

Umm, I got 2.5.. I have no problems... It is NOT slower AT ALL. In fact, I have a Magnaflow muffler also.. I have track times to prove it. I have a custom CAI and the GT (YES I said GT) cam. And that is it. Go for the 2.5.. Unless you have an Auto. (Which I know you don't) If you think the 2.25 is better than the 2.5, Hey.. I'll run you ANYTIME.. Seems like we have the same mods, Minus the header...

Choopi, the header will make the difference. 4-2-1 header is for mid-range and the 2.5 exhaust is for top end.

I have a 2.5 inch and it runs fine too. To make the whole story short, read the letter (first & lengthy) from Bill (Bills isuzuperfomance.com) in the current issue of SCC on his experience with dyno testing 2', 2.25' & 2.5' diameter exhausts. This is a professional. You paid $130 for your exhaust? I paid $60.
