Default Header diffs

tried search button, please forgive me.
ive been doing some header shopping and i see that one type of 4-1 header from SR is "type A" and it costs 430 and "type D racing" costs 750. besdies price, whats the difference between the two types? type d is twice the price, is it because its such a better header? is it twice the HP gains or something?

[QB]the difference between the 4-1 and the 4-1 *race* Type-D is rather significant.

The *race* headers are tuned even more towards the top end of the RPM band. They are also significantly LONGER than the standard 4-1 headers.

Unless your going to be planning on builing your car up for some serious raceing I'd go with the Type A and get the exhaust.

i also beleive the the runners in the type d are EXACTLY the same length which helps in the headers target the highrange.

Yeah i agree, save your pennies and get a decent stainless mandrel exhaust and headers AND cat for the same price smile.gif

Personally for NA I like 4-1 header, because powerband is shifted higher into the rev range.
