Have you ever had an old person scream at you for your car being too loud?
No? Well, it just happened to me. Went out for something to eat, pulled into a parking spot, and some old dude started screaming at me over my exhaust saying my car is noise pollution and should be towed to the junk yard. I have a borla muffler with crushed bent piping. Its not even that loud. Wonder what the guy thinks about Harley's and other motorcycles. Or big construction vehicles.
oooh i've got a good one for this! back in high school i had a 91 dodge daytona in black (2 door sporty hatchback) and my friend had a white toyota tercel. he had a pretty nice sound system with 2 12's and a good sized amp, my daytona had a radio sitting in the dash that was not attached to anything. we were driving through a neighborhood and there were two cops in the street by a stop sign (not sure why they were there but they were) and my friend goes by with his sound system blasting, turning it down as soon as he saw the police. he pulls away from the stop sign no problem but then the cops signal me to stop, come up to me and tell me that if they hear my stereo turned up that loud again they are going to give me a ticket...
so i grab my stereo and pull it out of the dash "you mean this one?" hahaha! he seemed a bit surprised and after a minute waved me on.

Only when I used my exhaust to set off car alarms in a parking garage. There is something about a beta with a flowmaster than makes that very easy for a car that is not very rumbly or loud really.
