Hard DYNO Numbers by BatLord
Hi guys, well this was requested by a member so here you go:
The following info is for my 1998 Hyundai Tiburon Automatic (not so tragic anymore)
1- STOCK RUN
2- KORE auto-cai Run
3- KORE Exhaust run
4- SR 4-2-1 Headers
and here are the differences simplified per MODIFICATION from STOCK:
KORE CAI: 2.9 whp & 4.3 lbs/ft
KORE Cat-back: 6.1 whp & 2.6 lbs/ft
BOTH KORE MODS: 9.7 whp & 5.4 lbs/ft
Dyno with all mods, taking the last dyno before headers into consideration:
SR 4-2-1 Headers: 7.1 whp & 6.2 lbs/ft
well enjoy

Stock run
104.8 HP
106.1 ft Lbs of Torque
Kore AUTO CAI
107.7 HP
110.4 ft. Lbs of Torque
+2.9 HP
+4.3 ft. lbs
Kore Exhaust
110.9 HP
108.7 ft. Lbs.
+6.1 HP
+2.6 ft lbs.
Kore CAI and Exhaust
114.5 HP
111.5 ft. lbs.
+9.7 HP
+5.4 ft. lbs.
Kore CAI and Exhaust and Shark Racing 4-2-1
121.6 HP
117.7 ft. lbs.
+7.1 HP
+6.2 ft. lbs.
Adding the CAI with the Exhaust gave more gains than just adding up the numbers for just the CAI and Just the Cat Back. So, the two make More HP together than they do seperatly.
The 4-2-1 header was not tested stock, as it was not practacle. the 4-2-1 header showed a gain over the CAI and Cat Back, so the Cat back works well with the 4-2-1 header.

what do you mean not practical??? I don't think you will ever have anyone, install headers before they do an exhaust system, normally I/E is first, or they do the full Exhaust at the same time of the headers... but I think you can get a gain from it... but yes I understand what you mean it's not really from stock... but these are good numbers and it gives everyone an idea...
ONE thing I have learned is that you can never go by anyones dyno #'s, yes you can use them for research purposes, but the best is to dyno your CARS stock, and then dyno with each mod, yes it's expensive but you will feel much better knowing that what you purchased works...

Bat I ahve the headders on my stock pipes since I can't get an Elantra cat back yet. The headders did squat low end butafter4500 rpm holly hell, and on stock pipes and muffler but yeah, headders with out cat back, it's a waste.
exactly, see that's why I see that there will never be a dyno on stock and just headers, cause in all reality I'd be disappointed after spending close to 500 bux, and getting around 2whp or so, that's why I like the 7.1 gain better... LOL, once again, that's w/o my car being tuned...

Those are some damn good numbers for a start! You can probably take me out Bat!
There is many other mods that will give you better gains and bigger gains in combination with the other mods you now have. Typically, it is with the combination of mods, one complimenting the other that the bigger WHP gains become apparent. Definitely, going a step further and tuning the car with the added mods will render even more gains from the I/H/E.
Make it happen Bat!
