probably a dumb question but if you had a haltech and installed it on a stock engine other than just bolt ons, would you see any type of increase in horsepower or are the stand alones only designed for forced induction?

 

If you can tune it better than the OEM, you can probably get better results. The stock fuel trims are VERY rich at high engine speeds, so they may have sacrificed power in the name of not burning a hole in a piston top. But there are probably easier ways to get more power than a new computer.

 

 

so, purchase haltech (minimum 900), wire haltech (tons of hours of hassle or $$$$$) and tune haltech (600+ if lucky)
