cold air intake hardwre prob plz help

there is a fork looking clip attached onto the cold air intake i bought, looks like it fastens onto something maybe into the engine bay to brace it better..
cold air intake is in and everythings fine, but, what is this used for anyways? i've just wondered what it was for i still don't use it and never have

depends on what one you have.. the one on the AEM had a little rubber bushing and a long bolt also.. It mounted to the inside of the fender if i recall to help keep it from moving.
Yes, it mounts to the frame. Did you look to see where it would line up? Is it installed yet? Show us a picture of the intake

Bolting it in that location will keep it from bouncing and hitting the wheel. It bolts inside the wheel well, to the frame.

make sure your MAF goes between the two pipes. Just install it and see where it falls. Get a long bolt, make sure it fits in the hole, and get a rubber bumper similar to this
