Also keep in mind. Cam's are not a 50 WHP mod on a N/A motor.

In every non VTEC "cam shoot outs" the "best" cams do under 15 WHP, the worst about 3-5 WHP.

The XD/GT cam is STILL A STOCK CAM...so to get 5 WHP out of a stock cam swap...that's darn good.

In reality, I would expect somewhere between 2-5 WHP depending on mods.

yeah, its a bad-*** mod for only $100 bucks.
You keep your warranty and get performance out of it. You'll get the best gains if you have a full intake setup (CAI/BBTB/BIM) and exhaust will help aswell.

I have a fully N/A motor with nearly everything done to it. And if i were to do it again, i'd definetly done turbo if i want power. But i'm still very very happy with the power gains from the N/A, but i'm probably in the 140ish range at best to the wheels, where turbo is nearly triple the gains from N/A modding at WORST at best mutch more.

Here's an idea of what to expect. With a 1997 Rev-A Tib, I pulled ~144whp in Dallas with the following parts and right above 60k on the odometer:

MHP cold air intake
HVE throttle body
Ported intake manifold
Ported cylinder head
Elantra 1.8L intake cam
3-angle valve job
HVE 4-1 header w/2.5" collector
Free-flow 2.5" dynomax catalyst
2.5" full exhaust
28" glasspack, generic muffler, 3" tip so it looked stock
PowerChip "Gold" ECU
S-AFC dialed in

BETA's do not make a lot of power N/A, but I watched a Civic Si with cam gears, intake, V-AFC and a cat-back make 145whp right before my turn on the dyno after he was fully dialed in.

Had we raced, I would have eaten him alive. He was only making about 110 torque max, I think mine was around 140...

I would not blame the nitrous, I would blame the inept installer. Whoever you had install that nitrous kit needs to be kicked in the head, and you need to take your business elsewhere.

The nitrous likely did exactly what it was supposed it, had it been installed correctly. Quit blaming the nitrous and/or the kit. There are more than a few Hyundai owners that are dealing out doses of nitrous as big or bigger than yours who have no problems.

Some of them even installed the kit themselves.
