i was thinking of adding msd ignition to my car but really dont know if it is worth it
what exactly will it do for me

Unless you are going with forced induction, not much really.

The MSD DIS-2 Programmable will give you total control of your igition timing, but you'll have to pay someone to do the basemaps/dyno tune it for best performance.

The standard DIS-2 and DIS-2 HO will just give you a stronger spark, which in 90% of the cases, just leads to premature spark plug wear, not more power.

but this is good for nos right? so you can retard the timing for 65 and 75 shots?

You can buy an optional nitrous timing module or something like that -- it allows you to pull a specific amount of ignition timing when you're on-spray.

MSD I think does call it a Nitrous Timing Module, and can pull timing in increments of 0.5 degrees up to like 10 total if I remember right. Figure $350 for the DIS-2 box and another $80 or whatever for the NTM... Eek.
