Default G6DA-AT alternative

Hello, i have purchased a nice 2011 Veracruz with a bad engine. The car starts but the hammering engine noise is no good. I will take the engine out and see if it can be rebuild. I assume that the car overheated and the prior owners drove it while it was overheating. If neccasary i will need to buy another engine. I would like to know if i have swap opertunities. I saw on a Kia site that the Sorento 07-09, Opirus 06-09, Entourage 06-09 use the G6DA-AT engine. Can i use 1 of these for my Veracruz? If not what are the diffrences?
