To sum up: The gasket sealant blew out. I bought vinyl gasket. That burnt in 3 days. So I bought hi-temp gasket from Hedman Headers:





Completely burned out in 1 year.



So I ordered some from ebay:







Will these work? What do you use for header gasket that won't burn or leak??

stainless steel welds-...



unless you cant remove the headers from the bottom of the car-...



no sense in trying something may or may not work again, i'd go for the phucket approach on this one.



i think (w/o looking at it) it's most likely a mis-alignment issue from the manufacturer. get it as tigh as you can and get that puppy welded shut!

You said
i took my grinder and shed some bumps off the flange
this tells me there is a flange flatness issue.



Take the manifold and whatever pipe attaches to it to a machine shop. Tell them to make the mating surfaces dead flat.
