Default F2 Evo Cam

I've managed to get my local dealership to order me some cams from the Evolution.

It has finally arrived (after 3 months of waiting!) and I expect to have it installed on Monday...it will be interesting to see what difference it makes, if any.

In the UK, they got a "special" version of the Tiburon. The F2 Evolution Coupe. ("Evo" for short).

Modified front nose and tail section, different side skirts, 154 HP rather than 140 HP, special EVO badging in places...yadda yadda yadda.

The Holy grail of Stock Tiburondom. With the exception of the Korean only Special Edition models. They were all Aluminum bodied and about 300 LBS ligher than our cars, but still only 140 Hp.

So you need an "evo" motor and a "SE" body, and you'd be a happy camper...

Try http://go.to/hyundaicoupe the definative site for all things Tiburon in the UK, look in the 'Coupe Models' section.

If you can't get in thru that link try http://members.tripod.co.uk/Xorro/ukhcs/index.htm

Zorro, how much are the EVO cams? Well if you can figure it out, in American $s it would be great, or I can convert it. Do you think that it is possible to get them then ship them to the US.......

F2 parts are a major pain in the butt to get... from what I've heard you can only get them if you have a F2 tiburon. Slim chance you're gonna find a dealership or owner to get you stuff. Zorro was lucky enough to get her own.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't it just use the 1.8L Beta cams? If that's the case just buy & replace - remember money solves everything

It has not been proven that the evo uses the 1.8L cams. As they are a different part number, I do not think they are the 1.8L cam.

By swaping in the 1.8L cams you will not get 14/13 HP (stock tibby 140, Evo 154/153)
