I just put a Flowmaster 44 on mine....well, I had a shop do it since all my other exhaust is stock and the Flowmaster had 2.5" inlet. Anyway, after a couple weeks of driving it and getting the thing broken it I must say I am a big fan. Nice and low, and no raspy nonsense at all. No weird buzzing or any of that garbage. They've got sound clips on their site, or you can do youtube but it sounds much much better in person. I do have an exhaust leak up front that I'll be taking care of this week and I expect it to sound even better. Perhaps I could make a little video or something with my digi cam, though like I said earlier I don't think the mic on a digicam can properly record it.

I have a Flowmaster 40 series on my 4.3l Blazer and it was sexy sounding (before I blew the engine). 3/4 big block Chevy and 1/4 Honda. It was a weird sound but it worked and sounded really mean up to about 5k rpm's when the Honda started to show up a bit. I also have a Flowmaster 40 series knockoff on my Bronco. It sounds great but is really quiet through 21 year old cats. lol.

The dynomax superturbo muffler sounds real good and it's not too loud. I'd get a 30" resonator to go with it.

I put a magnaflow on my car about a year ago, and even the owner of the muffler shop was impressed with the sound. I was debating on a flowmaster as well, but magnaflow won overall.

DNT's idea sounds like it would be good too

I'm thinking of getting a 60 Series for the Elantra. I think that's the same model I'm using for the Accent and it gave the Accent a really deep rumble at lower rpm's and made it sound much more powerful than the car was. I'm sure it would sound even deeper on the Elantra SE.

if u hate exhaust rasp, the resonator is your problem solver, even a small one as 16 inches will get rid of the rasp,

i have a 2.25 custom exhaust with magnaflow and high flow cat and was raspy like SH*T..a jmagnaflow louvered core resonator helped the car quiet down so much, almost to oem level with hint of deep tone,

i can now enjoy the sound of my intake instead of the droney raspy exhaust drowning it's delicate induction noise
