Default Exhaust Questions

1) Does anyone have any experience w/ the evofusion header / exaust? How does it sound and do I need anything extra to use them together?

2) With higher flowing exhaust can I expect the same changes in gas milage as I did with the intake? (mine got just shy of 20% better with the intake)

Thanks in advance!

Together they're pretty loud and raspy. But as far as I have heard they bolt right together and you're good.

It's very unusual to get 20% better fuel economy from an intake. I would expect 2-5% better fuel economy with the header and exhaust.

20% was a very rough instant guestimate. I went from filling up once a week to and from work to about a week and 2-3 days though so it did make a very good improvement. 70 mi / day @ 5 days / week

I think maybe I'll just do the exhaust then, I'm going for low & smooth, and only loud when I hit the gas.

The EF exhaust all on it's own is pretty loud. I don't remember who had the video up of it though. It sounded way louder than mine though. I have a crush bent system done locally.

I have a mandrel bent system that I got done locally too. You can save a ton of money if you go that route, and find yourself a good name brand universal muffler. smile.gif

Ok, 187sks told me about his which if I remember right was an Apexi N1 clone but I tried ebay and the closest I came was searching "Universal Muffler N1" none that I've seen say it's a copy of the Apexi, is there any way to know which are good and which are soup cans with a pipe welded on? Or do shops carry clones?

Yeah, those are the same style as mine in general. I don't remember what brand mine is. Most muffler shops will carry clones. I don't know how to recommend one, if there's a good place that does exhaust you could take their advice, but if the place sucks they probably won't understand what you're looking for.

We've got a few shops around here I'll see what I can find.

I have an actual Apex-i muffler, and it is pretty loud, but quieter than some of the non name brand ones that are out there. You could also always go with a magniflow or dynamax muffler. They're name brand and built for domestics, but still give a decent tone. Alot of muffler shops should have them.
