2.5 is overkill for our cars!

Well, Random recommends the 2.5, and you are the ONLY person I've ever seen say that.

well, when you will loose too much back pressure you loose a lot of low end; you do gain it back on high rpms, but sometimes lose in lower rpms can be too significant....

most of the power is lost in cats, resonators, and the stock muffler, if you get rid of those and get a little bigger piping than stock you will be able to get optimal power! so you wont be loosing too much on low rpms, but will gain enough at high rpms!

isnt stock exhaust size about 1 7/8 in? so 2.25 should be just enough!

lets put a 3in exhaust into a NA car... imagine how much low end would be lost? and when you get to high rpms you will not be able to compensate all the lost power!

we werent saying you cant go too large. we are saying 2.5" is perfect 2.25" is good but not optimal or flexible. especially if you have turbo plans sometime in the future

Maybe I'll get that guy to bump it up to a 2.5" instead of the 2.25". Just cause I would like to go turbo in the future.

you are right that it's good when you will go turbo or N2O in the future, but I believe for NA setup which will not exceed 140whp 2.5 is overkill smile.gif
bet let this be my personal opinion if no one wants to agree with me smile.gif

 Poor Cuervo LOL

Nobody here has answered this mans question. I say the SS Autochrome setup only because I hear good things about their headers, so their catback exhaust can't be that bad!

BlackTibby00 Came the closest when he got a quote on a custom job. Cuervo, I would suggest this for you unless you can get stuff shipped real cheap.

Now that that is somewhat answered I am going to hijack this thread by asking another question. Is there much diference between a custom job and a full already assembled system?? Or is it just the mandrel bend vs welds that you have to contest with?

Make a new thread for your questions guys. Stop with the hijacking BS.

I need to bring my Exhaust post over from the old forums I see.
