Default Exhaust

If I have a N/A Tib isn't a 2.1/4 exhaust better since it will still give the car back pressure. I see on a few posts that people are putting 2.5 on? Waz up ?

2.5" is fine. I lost no power, and it moved my torque curve down 1000rpm's.

In theory, you could go with a 5" exhaust on an N/A car and be fine. The key is backpressure. As long as you had some form of restriction in the exhaust system, Cat, muffler, or restriction pipe.

In reality, yes, you can go too large, but the difference between 2.25 and 2.5 is not that significant, and will not significantly affect power. Cat choice and muffer choice would be more critcal that pipe diameter (as long as you are talking 2.25 to 2.5)

I'm about 99.9% positive the Pacesetter is 2.5", but I could be mistaken. I'll let you climb under my car and measure it since it's too cold for me to do so. wink.gif
