From 3.200 rpm to 3.800 rpm the engine vibrates and it's louder. If I accelerate slowly and progressively, there is less vibration. Plus, when I start the engine (cold) it is louder than it should be. Car has 45 k miles, just changed oil & filters. Has anyone had this problem before? I was thinking it's the engine mounts but I don't want to change them until I know for sure. Dealer is crap, they wouldn't know what to say, or say that all is O.K., so I need advice, pls....

Our cars normally do get slightly louder around 3200RPM... but the vibration, eh... sounds motor mountish to me, but maybe some others have ideas.

Put the shift in neutral and open the hood..... take a look if the engine is moving a lot.... if it so... begin to see about engine mounts (on the sides), chek fuel suply, or maybe faulty sparkplugs... there is a 100 reasons for that vibration....

Also check the RPM in neutral...
