Ok guyz, i need help on this.

The temperature gauge was rather slow, it was at midpoint when my engine overheated... It stopped and diddnt start... So i rested it for an hour (at 3 am while driving my friends home) And so it started again but smelled like a burned oil...

Checked my radiator the ff day... It leaked.. So i purchased an original OEM part (costs argghhh!!)

Installed the new one, test drived at full throttle, without the aircon, and shocks! the temperature reached really really high (and with the burned oil thing)

I checked the oil dipper and the oil cap, i found some water drops. The radiator has some signs of oil too... I checked the spark plugs: the tip was dark and some oil in its thread... I cant even get the plug wires off the engine (two of them)

Any idea guys? Head gasket? Piston ring?

Can these be done by my personal mechanic or should I go to the service center... The service center would cost at least 4 times

would a blown head gasket (and the effects of it) be covered under Hyundai's warranty?

elantra uses the same beta engine.. However, just remember, you have an iron block with an aluminum head. If you blew the gasket, chances are the head is warped too

elantra?
i had my mechanic this morning and we started the car with the radiator cap open.. the water surged up so it's really the head gasket that's blown... i have to open the block tomorrow, if it's warped ten we hav 2 machine it

btw, can the gasket maker do the job instead of machining?

Have a machinist check the base of the head to see if it is level. If it isn't, machining will be neccecary. Otherwise, you won't get a proper seal and the engine will leak coolant into the cylinders. Your mechanic should know what to do.

If the head gasket was blow, wouldn't there be an oil leak from between the head and the block? The little bit I know about engines, it sounds like the block might be cracked.

You can also do a compression check on each cylinder, and on the radiator.

Get a Jeepney dude, they're cool. Hahahaha
