I would not bother with trying to upgrade the stock ECU. You would be better off with a Apex S-AFC. Properly dyno tuned, it should be good for another 5 Hp with ALL of the above mods you mentioned, not to mention a better running car.

Before he went the psycho route like I'm doing smile.gif Onpol was using an S-AFC to tune his 440cc/min injectors + T3 turbo setup at 10psi. He was making around 220-230 at the tires at that point, which was enough to grenade the drive axle and differential when launching hard on slicks.

The S-AFC is a good idea on a car with more than a "few" bolt-ons. How many is the right number? I dunno, howabout when your next single mod exceeds the cost of the S-AFC?

A throttle body is ~$130. Intake manifold ~$170. CAI is about $200. Headers from HVE are bordering on $250... Having your exhaust replaced will probably be $350-450. Cams -- depends on where ya buy 'em.

One clarification that is needed: the S-AFC device is constantly on, and as such must be used with constant-on modifications. Nitrous is not a constant-on mod, you only use it during specific times. In this case, an S-AFC is useless for tuning.

The effective limitation is "How much can I simply FOOL the stock computer and be reliable and make power?" At some point, there is simply too much more going on than the stock computer could ever comprehend.

The S-AFC alters fuel only. Thus, if you need more fuel than 440cc/min injectors can ever possibly provide, you're past the point of the S-AFC fixing things.

There are a few people who are past that point, in which case a full Haltech install is the order of the day.
