Zup everyone? I was wondering..who here has a Tenzo R muffler? I have an HKS, and I've been thinking about going towards Tenzo...but wasn't too sure on how they sound. MY HKS sounds okay at low speeds, but once you gun it..it gives off a little bit of a bumble bee sound. Not really liking it too much. sad.gif So if anyone has this, or can give any info, let me know. Thanx a bunch!

could your CAT be shot??? I mean, you shouldn't get that bumblebee sound with just the rear-section changed...
My car at the moment is giving a bumblebee sound due to not having a CAT... and before I took it off, it sounded badass, which it is way louder now, but for 2-3 seconds I get that bumblebee sound...

Bat....I still have my cat installed. The bumble bee sound isn't really too noticable, just when I'm at high speeds and I gun it. Otherwise just regular low speeds and basic driving, it doesn't sound too bad. I'm still curious though about the Tenzo's. My buddy has a Tenzo muffler that he's selling for only $80 and offered it to me. It's never been installed. I just want to know how they sound before actually thinking about scraping my HKS. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif
I have an Arospeed muffler on my 2k1 Tib and it growls like a lion. No bumblebee sound here even in the high rpms it grrrr's instead of whines. My muffler only cost me $99 from www.streetbeat.com it's the round muffler 2 1/4" inlet w/ the 5" tip. Check it out!
I actually took it to Midas to have them put it on. It took about an hour and a half and cost me only $75 for them to put it on. He cut off the original muffler and welded on the new one with a pipe reducer to match the diameters and then cut off one of the original hangers and welded it onto the front of the new muffler to hang it. It sits at a real nice angle like the tanabe racing medalion does on DSM's but angles down also just a hair which doesn't bother me. You have to watch that they center the tip in the cut out so it doesn't rattle against the rear bumper or the tow hook. It takes a while for it to warm up to sound nice, but once it does it sounds OH SO nice!
