Crank pulley info
Hey guys, I was researching knock sensors and found the following scientific article on crank dampener pulleys and the effect of their absence, i.e., an aftermarket pulley.
http://deviantmethods.com/bigmoose/p...rankdamper.pdf
The most important takeaways are on pages 7 and 11. 11 shows that crank vibration does go up by as much as a factor of 2 as dampening is removed.
This probably wont convince everyone and I certainly don't want to start any sort of heated discussion over this issue, but it is food for thought for those thinking about this "upgrade." smile.gif
