Default Concerning AOS CAI filter...

Unfamiliar with filters... Does the filter that comes with the AOS CAI need to be oiled? Are all cone filters oiled, or are some different. Thanks!

depends on the type of material the filter is made from...

some are foam and have a different "re-charge" kit than those that are cotton gauze.

The one that comes with the AOS is a cotton-gauze type (i think). I haven't seen one that isn't pre-oiled out of the box. I know that APC and K&N filters are pre-oiled.

OK then..if it is preoiled, does it have to be reoiled every 50,000 miles like the K&N airfilters?

yes

And for the most part the foam filters use the same "re-charge kit" as the cotton gauze ones.

Weapon R (for one) will tell you its different so they can sell you one of their own kits.
