China produces 29% of the worlds CO2. Up 9% last year alone.
US is 16%
EU is 11%

It's ok though, our left wing Uk government has taken it upon itself to reduce the entire worlds output by pricing Uk drivers off the road.
over half what we pay for fuel is tax, approx $400 a year just to legally own a 2.0 Tib, approx $670 for a v6. Free for a prius or any other gay car. now have to pay a toll to drive through london, other cities put it to a vote, and were surprised when people voted to not pay a toll (Uk politicians realy are that thick). EU emissions rules has effectively outlawed vtecs, rotarys and big turbos on new cars from 2011.
Problem is it has worked, many have downsized engines, so now Uk government is loosing money each year!
the only silver lining is it has lead to an arms race between Mugen Japan and mugen Uk to build a 200bhp hybrid CRZ, once perfected this realy would temp me to get a hybrid.

Some of the leftier left-wingers in the US are trying it. They made gas more expensive and demanded higher fuel efficiency from our cars, and got lower fuel use. Then the gas taxes went down. Now to make up for it in California (where gas prices are already highest) some cities (San Francisco) are looking at mandating a GPS in all the cars to track miles driven and tax at a rate of $0.10/mile. This adds $3/gallon for a car that gets 30MPH.
Nice.
Nice.
