Hey guys, I just got back from the Mechanics after they changed my clutch. Now my clutch pedal is very soft when you press down on it and the catch/friction point is near the bottom(towards the floor). When I had the older clutch, my clutch pedal was harder to press in and the catch/friction point was between the middle and top.
Is this normal when having a fresh clutch?

The grabbing harder and closer to floor aspects are normal. But the softer pedal symptom has me confused. A new clutch and thus new pressure plate I would assume should result in if anything a harder pedal. You might want to bleed the clutch system with some fresh DOT 3 brake fluid to make sure there is no air in the lines. I'm sure there is a DIY in here somewhere if you can't figure it out. It is just like bleeding brakes except you hit the clutch pedal and bleed it through the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder (which is mounted on top of your transmission).

Thanks guys for the replies.
I'm using a Valeo Clutch that I got on E-bay for $80 bucks. It's made in Korea instead of China, so I know it's high quality. I'm enjoying my car every minute now because of the instant catch points, even though the soft clutch pedal is very enjoyable, I still worry if it's not normal.
