Default Ceramic Coating VS. Heat Wraping

I got my header from Shark Racing today and boy is it beautiful. I was wondering should I try to get it ceramic coated (expensive) or should I just heat wrap it and what are the pros and cons of each?

I hate to destroy the beauty of it but it has to earn it's keep. LOL

If you can afford it, go with the Ceramic Coating. I good inside coat and outside coat will work just as well as heat wrap, it will look a hell of a lot better.

I've got a place to reccomend that will do them for about $200. I'll post the link when I get home.

Thanks for the link Random. In my haste to get the header on the car I went to the local speed shop (Calhoun Speed) and purchased the Heat Wrap for $49.99 + tax, It was made by Moroso.
My point: I didn't know that it would make me itch so bad, it's made with fiberglass for those who don't know. Oh well live and learn.
I would get the ceramic coating but I want to install the header on Saturday.

2kwagon-

Sorry about not warning you about the Heat wrap. I've done it so many times, my hands are pretty much immune to the stuff now (or I just have so many calouses). When my friend did his exhaust, his hands itched for a week! *laugh*
