check compression. does anyone remember the normal specs off the top of their head?
I'm thinking 190-200 is normal.

limit is 199 psi (max difference between cylinders - 14 psi). Measure compression on a hot engine.
but compression may be OK and engine can burn oil.

No thats not normal. What do you mean the limit is 199 psi?? Im planning to get high comp pistons which should be well over 200.

How big is your catch can?
Even if its pint-sized, thats not very good LOL. Turbocharging does lead to increased blowby, but not something you should see instananeous...
