REDZMAN: $85 sent.

Go ahead and send it with the engine damper.

What type of hose would you get for a catch can?
Where could you find said hose?

I dont know much about plastics but im sure there has to be some special type because of the vacuum and the heat.

you can just use the stock hose unless you get one of the big useless 85$ cans..

the ebay catch cans go for around 40$ and come with brackets and usually come hose. its just simple vacuum hose.

^^ im confused on how that is relavent to anything or much less, makes sense.. the air ram is the ONLY aftermarket manifold made, and is much better than stock.. so yeah.. duno what you were trying to get at.

edit: o, nvm, i got it.. cuz i spent 500$ on a performance part and didnt WASTE 80-140$ on a part that you can get for 5$ that makes me wasting money... yeah.... spending 500$ on a rare part that will outperform pretty much anything you could do to a stock IM is wasting money i guess.
but since i saved myself around 100$ on a cheap, effective catch can, i must be dumb..

I just got the catch can from RED ZMAN today. After 5 months of waiting for this show quality can because he was going to get new hoses, it shows up. This thing is a piece of junk. It's entire body is discolored. All the hoses including the sight hose need to be replaced. The thing is scratched up all over.

I was expecting this:

I got this: (yes it's as clean as it can get)

It obviously can't stand up to the heat of an engine bay, there is no white on it, it's grey. The overall body is greenish blue the sight hose has burned up and turned orange. This thing is a piece of shit and there's no way I can install it on my car.

I would have been much better going with an e-bay can for car shows then this one. So, 5 months and $80 later, I'm at square one. Lesson learned, buy an e-bay catch can.

eeewwww. Why'd it take so long? I would've said screw it after a month and gotten an ebay special. There's plenty of chrome shiny ones that would look good in your bay.

Oh whatever. I told you before that all of the silicone was stained from the oil. You waited because of the reason I told you, I wanted to find some blue hose that was oil proof for BOTH of us, but wasn't able to find any under $60 for 3 feet. We even talked about this in the shoutbox what, last week?

I also told you I could send you the leftover Samco Sport hose I had left that would work for it, but that it would also discolor like that, and you said you didn't want it.

There wasn't a scratch on either end plate when we sent it either.

It's all silicone, it stands up to the heat just fine, silicone likes to absorb oil though, hence why it's that color now.

Here are pics from my photobucket with it in my car.

Here's what it looked like when I installed it.

HID DIY. Check out the hoses too.

I mean it's not like I tried to hide anything, the pics are all there

Did I forget to send you the mounting bracket? I can send it out to you immediately if so, I don't see it in your pic. Also, for the clear tube, some clear hose from a fish tank breather fits perfectly, I couldn't find the spare I had to put in there. THe hose they included in the box was kinked so I replaced it at the beginning. I had this in the car when you last saw it at Nopi, and really man, if you want to work something out on it, we can. I wasn't trying to get over on you.

Let me know what you want to do.

that looks like a pretty darn nice one.. still WAY over the top for a catch can, but would fit your style and the can wouldn't discolor. i wouldn't get one with the tube on the side.. those will always turn out looking like crap from oil and oil vapors.
