Some catback systems for other cars are just the pipe, some include the muffler. Of the 2 available for the tiburon that I know of, both include a muffler.

MBRP and KORE are currently the only two available that I know of in the USA. Visit www.speedstate.com for the MBRP unit, and www.koremotorsports.net for the KORE unit.

Pacesetter ewwwwwwwwww, run away, it's cheap low end crap that's not worth the money. There is also Brullen but brullen systems are for cars with some other serious mods.

The Brullen systems are always made on demand, they had a tib system for years and only had a hanager problem with it ( seems y2k and 99 rear bumpers are a bit longer somewhere ) Mine is the template for the cat and back systems for cars with headders. they will just use the tib rear section for it and new custom mid pipes that they'll copy for others, also their is always quiet, not loud system. Richard at Brullen likes real quiet mufflers, and double thick guage steel and huge glass packs. It will be as heavy as the stock system and not sound any louder ( unless you want it to ).

yes i am curious about this also, i was thinking of replacing the stock header, but I see that the catalic conv will have to be moved, is this difficult? should i get a different one to replace it? and can i get a whole system that will fit with the aftermarket header with catalic conv. included or will i have to cut pipes to fit one in somewhere?
thanks for all your help

I just came back from Brullen with a headder back system, it's nice, quiet ( considering headers make it loud ) and everything fits like a glove. It was the Tib cat back ( 2.5" ) cut short, a hi flow cat with 2.5" in out and flanges welded on, a nice 3.5" tip ( not to big not small ). Everything is painted black so it looks stock, sounds a bit louder but not annoying and crusing oh the hwy it's barely there. I have a nice exhuast faq on my site to.
