did your car over heat when the water pump went? because the coolant in the return from the radiator is cold so it is curculating. why does this only happen after the car reaches op. temp.????

Yea the car did over heat.

Also when I fist put my CAI on the hose going to the main vacuum would pinch closed when the car got hot and the rubber softened. this caused my car to sputter out and die. I ended up replacing the hose

Yes you can change the gap on the plugs. Get a plug gapper, it's easy.

WTF are you changing your plugs every 2 oilchanges for?

whoa calm down...is there something wrong in changing the plugs that often???????

I took every plug out and examined it .... the gapping was fine.... and all of the plugs had an even brownish look like they are supposed to.

the car must be running lean. what do you think?

also does a tib have an IAC valve. and if so where is it on the engine?

...

WTF are you telling to calm down? First off, I'm completely calm. Second off, yeah, that's WAY too often to be changing your plugs. Look at your user manual in your glove box, it'll tell you when you need to replace them.

Ok, so after reading all the information posted and seeing that you did hollow out the cat. I would go through and check all the misc sensors. Start with the cheapest first. I think honestly and quite posibly that the O2 sensor is run too long. The factory put it there for a reason. If the computer thinks its there when the exhaust has to travel further to get an accurate reading then its going to tell it to richen up because its not within the specs of what it should be. Honestly tho, if your going to put the o2 there where the second one should be replace it with a wideband so you know where it is and if its within the spec readings. The put the first one back near where it should be. Im sure the shop you went to will drill a hole and weld a bung in for you.

alright ill try that... I never extended the first o2 sensor.. but I guess you are just saying to move the sensor upstream... right? if it was too far away wouldn't it trip a CEL ?

as far as replacing the sensor...

how much would it cost for a wideband sensor?

and where is the best place to get one?
