Car Hesitates
#1
Hello,
I'm having issues with my 99 fx 5-spd, when the car sits for a while. Once i start it up, i let it warm up, as soon i put a load, or even gas, the car hesitates, if i give more gas, she boggs soo low, its sometimes back fires. I changed, fuel filter, air filter, new spark plugs, and wires, new alternator, new battery.
Im thinking it could be the MAP sensor, or the TPS. When i rest the car, she drives great, after 20 min , the hesitation begins, just for a short period of time.
Any clue??
any way to test the MAP??

Yup.
Searching would bring up about 12,000 topics on this.
Or you could look at the most recent posts in this area. I think it's even in the FAQ.
Since you are new, I'll spoon feed it to you though my man.
1. Go out and look at your TPS.
2. Look for the words Dae Sung or Keifco.
3. Write down the appropriate word/s.
4. Come here and either search, or have folks tell you that...
a. If you have a Dae-Sung, your TPS is bad. It's covered under the warranty and is listed as a TSB with Hyundai, they have to replace it for free with the Keifco.
b. If you are no longer under warranty, you can get one from someone on here, your dealer, junkyard, internet, lots of places, just make sure you replace it with something ELSE than a Dae-Sung.
c. If you have a keifco, it's likely something else. Pics of your engine bay or perhaps some timeline on when this started and such would help us diagnose.
Also, since Faith is right, and Canadia has MAF, you need to check the direction of your MAF filter.
I can show you a pic if you need help with that.
I'm not being mean, I realize you are new to the site, but please do some searching before asking questions.
Thanks.

Any time bro.
I'd suggest you get it replaced ASAP.
Autozone has a TPS for us, but I think Bosch makes it. Should still be fine.
