Can someone explain about this incredible power gain from CAI?

Default Can someone explain about this incredible power gain from CAI?

I installed KORE CAI into my Auto Transmission Tiburon two weeks ago. The thing is that, when I enter freeway at 40 MHP then press the gas pedal fully to accelerate, my car (without CAI) reaches its maximum performance at 75-85 MPH. That is, once the car reaches 85 MPH, the velocity of car increases slowly with constant acceleration even if I keep pressing gas pedal fully. (sorry about bad explanation)
Anyway, after installaling CAI, and doing same kind of acceleration, my car keeps going when speed meter points 105+ MHP at Overdrive gear at 3000-4500 RPM (+ because I had to stop because there was traffic). With CAI, I can speed up really fast from 40 MPH to 105 MPH without having to slowly accelerate once car's speed reaches 85-90 MPH.
How can this "power increase" happen? Is this because CAI is sucking more air as the car goes faster?

You are correct in assuming that it get better airflow. The way the stock intake is with all the bends and not much room to draw in air decreases the airflow.

Another reason for this increase in HP is the place the air is comming from. It is being drawn in from your fenderwell, which is where the air is colder. Colder the air, the more HP you gain. That is about it!
