Default Hyundai engines going over 100,000 miles

I just have been thinking about this. I have a 97 Tiburon with 96K miles on my car right now. I bought the car with 94K and i wanna start doing stuff to it now but i am kinda worried about my car dying after it hits over 100K. Any one know how long the cars usually last?

Never fear. I've been slowly adding parts to my car since 1997, My car runs like I bought it yesterday and it just turned 167,000 miles. I had the cam cover off about 10,000 miles ago to drill out the pcv hole and it was still clean in there. I'll be replacing my first clutch with one from Kore in another 20k or so; for some reason it wont start slipping to give me a reason. But you should have no problem as long as the person that had the vehicle before you took care of it. I use the cheapest oil I can find but I change it every 2,000 miles. Good luck!

I am almost at 190,000 miles and I haven't had any engine related issues. I have a CAI, BBTB with port-matched intake, and a header. So, it isn't stock and it isn't babied. I beat the crap out of the car on a daily basis and it has withstood the punishment extremely well.

my car has 1,000,000 miles on it, and I take it off road! It once was completely underwater, but I was able to drive out of the canal and home ok. I'm gonna buy a jet engine for it next spring! I'm from Ontario, eh.
