Cams Are Here!

Question guys...
I have a fidanza timing belt gear here to put on, but I believe it's quite a bit lighter than the OEM one. Should I go ahead and put it on WITH the new cams and dyno the 2 together? Or should I do the cams and OEM gear, then get the gear replaced when I do my belt, so we have accurate CAM ONLY dyno's?

i don t belive you will have a big difference between the oem and the fidanza cam gear , if the fidanza , is set to zero deg .
the difference of weight is not enought to see the gain .
When I get these Ill make a DIY. Cams are fun to work with smile.gif smile.gif Just let me know when these come out so I can pay fing02.gif
....As long as I figure out what to do about tuning then Ill get thses and do that DIY nana.gif

my money is ready haha. hey redz i think a DIY post is in order after u start sellin these puppies. i dont think i saw one for both cams, just the 1.8.
Yes, I'll do one.

looks great man, so why did you ditch the 1.8? i might not be understanding do these have longer camshafts than the 1.8? because the f2 evo uses the 1.8L
I didn't ditch it, I never even used it. The evo used it because it was an OEM part, these should give you a bit of a lopey idle. I hope. LOL
Let's see, 1.8L cam = maybe 5WHP if you are lucky. This should be about 15, or more.

damn, that's awesome. how is the computer gonna take it without being reprogrammed?
I guess we'll see how it takes it, like I said. Since the other Kia's with the same grind of cams haven't had a problem, don't know why we will. These aren't extreme enough to cause problems I'd think.

I was like 1 years and half with the stock ecu and never have trouble , but i did not get the full power of the cam . You can run any cam with out tuning , but it is worthless to buy a set s highcam if you don t tune it !!!!!!!!!!!!
