I'm trying to figure out why they were installing an EXAHAUST cam...
That DOES suck dude. I hope whoever you got the cam from will send you a replacement.

I think they were installing a set.
Are you guys sure you know what you are doing? You do realize that you will need to upgrade your stock internals to take the amount of lift on those wild cams right? What are the specs of these cams? Maybe we can determine what happend.
From what I understand, you were already driving on them correct? And you were reinstalling them? Swapping? Give us some more info.

That's mighty neighborly of you Red.
If valves were bent, something besides the cam was in the wrong place. either the timing was off, or the cams are way too tall for stock valves/springs/piston combo.
regardless, a torque wrench should have told you not to he-man the thing in place if it didn't want to go...

*cringe*oooohhh aaaaahhh eeeee
its like watching someone get kicked in the nuts, really sucks dude.
You didn't completely tighten one side before you got the other side down right? Your supposed to rock the cam in (ie tighten one clamp down a little then the next and next then go back to first and tighten more..etc etc).
either that or it was just a bad cam smile.gif anyway, its an excuse to get aftermarket now.
Oh one thing, are my eyes decieving me or is that engine outside the engine bay?
