Default A/C power drain

Does anyone know or have a good guess as to how much horsepower you lose when the a/c is on? I've noticed it's rather substantial but any estimated numbers? 5hp?

I don't have any engine mods so I can't compare the acceleration (or lack of) to anything.

Bwahahaa I figured someone would have a bit of otherwise useless information to share with the group! wink.gif

I'm pulling out all of my hvac and cutting a hole in my roof to mount a 40,000 btu air conditioner and just plugging it into my cig lighter. It's almost done..will post pics tomorrow.
