It sounds like your clutch is slipping b/c it's worn out.
If this is the case then bleeding/adjusting won't help at all, but try it first by all means (You might be lucky).
I think it's time for a new clutch.

Yeah... my clutch is going too...

Lately, unless I release the clutch pedal PERFECTLY when pulling away slowly in first, the car sort of stutters & struggles to catch the gear... if that makes any sense?

Only when pulling away SLOWLY though... which doesn't happen too often!

Mine did this also, but more so in reverse. It was the clutch bearing failing, and when it eventually broke apart the clutch just stayed engaged b/c the fork had nothing to pull on anymore.

I was thinking it was more along the replacement side of things. I'll do the clutch bleeding thing just to do it and see if it helps at all. I planned on doing motor mods soon but not this soon.

i know all about the throwout bearing failure lol.

3rd to 4th shift at 6300rpm at around 85mph going down the track BOOOM bounced off redline clutch pedal stuck to the floor and dragging it onto the flywheel down thet track. lol

scary stuff haha.

it almost sounds like you not only have a worn clutch.. but maybe a cooked and warped flywheel... that would make the clutch "grabby" like that.

Funny I was going to repost to this thread today.

Anyways did the clutch bleed thinger yesterday, no change, but it hadn't been doing it for a little bit now.Even before I did the bleed. I have not been driving it too hard but it used to do it even when I was just getting around. Just thought you'd like to know.

And I was thinking about doing the flywheel and clutch at the same time. Makes a little less work rather than doing it twice. But this thread just keps bringing bad news lol.gif

well.. not really... flywheels do not get that out of round.. chances are they can refinish it.. most places do that anyway when they replace the clutch
