so i decided if the head is coming off the tib then im going to upgrade the cam for more HP. ive been a huge fan of KSPEC products. so they have two cams available the 1.8 cam http://www.kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=79&ai_id=1424 then they have the gt cam http://www.kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=79&ai_id=21 whats the better one? and also anything else i should consider while the top parts apart? thanks guys

We mostly use the 1.8 cam. However, we don't usually buy from kspec you can go ahead and look through a junk yard for a 1.8 Beta 1 or just look in the for sale section. Jed should still have one left over. You'll get it cheaper and... well you'll actually get it since kspec likes to not ship sometimes lol.

About the GT cam I read somewhere that it is believed to cause faster engine ware. Also while the head is off P&P it, if you have accompanying mods.

You should read the site rules man.

Anyways, "WHAT" would answer your question, is a bit of searching.

First, Kspec doesn't make anything, their "products" are made by hundreds of other manufacturers. Lots of folks here won't buy from them anymore, and some will. Best of luck with that.

Both of the cams you speak of are OEM cams, save yourself some money and go pick one up at the local junkyard.
