Ok i have searched and i have read so much stuff about beta1 and 1.8 and 2.0 that i have confused myself.its funny though back in 98 when i bught my tibby u dident have this cuz the only thing i could get for my tibby was an HKS axle back supper drager exhust.LOL any way my question..........

I have a 1998 tiburon se 2.0,my moter smokes and a few day back as i was shifing it to 3ed, it and and 4th was gone.so now i need both moter and tranny.well i found a 2000 tibby 2.0, both cars had an F in the 8th spot on the vin#,plus it only has 38000 miles on it and for 600 bucks for both.

Is there any differences what so ever in the 2,so when i pull mine out i can swap it befor i put it back in,like sensors,fuel injectors,intake man,i was just not sure if they did any little up grades or any thing that i would run into to slow me down,cuz my tibby has been down for like 7 months and i have been driving a bertta around.so if anyone can think of anything please let me know....

buy it up, should be fine. at worst, you might have to swap a sensor or two. but still very easy.
