Redz... your making this whole waiting thing alot harder... You already got all of our attention, now your just rubbing it in evil.gif  wink.gif
Ok, ok. You guys really want to know? It's an e-turbo (aka computer fan)...no, no...wait...it's the resistor mod for the MAF sensor. wink.gif
And yes, I knew about this mod when the very first guy did this mod...so this is old news to me. tongue.gif
I'm surprised no one had a half of brain of doing this earlier. Glad Phuzzy did it. Though, don't think of this as one giant step to making our cars super fast. wink.gif
Remember kiddies: Racing sport compacts is a lot like the Special Olympics; it doesn't matter who wins, you're still slow. wink.gif

I put my 20 bucks on an Accent ECU. But it's been done before, so it's not like it's "new". My good friend ran with an Accent ECU for some time when he did his Beta swap; the timing of the ECU he used was obviously more advanced than the stock Beta, so I guess the "performance" would come from there. The fuel maps are also not exactly the same as the Beta ones, but similar. Fuel cut-off at 6250rpm sucks too (for the ECU he was using, at least. I know it's different in an Accent GT ECU).
If it's really that, that "mod" would NOT be good for an FI application thoughÂÂ*.

I am sorry but who ever had the idea to run a accent ecm and that is all. you are nuttzzzz
I belive the driveabilty comes from the torque. Its not noticeabley torque like the v6 but it can pretty much get out of its own way at any rpm now.
And well. It doesnt surge or lag. It just kinda goes now when you step on it. Make it just a joy to drive now. I really dont even notice the difference with the a/c on since I had it on for defogging from the coldness.
