Meaning that you know that it's indeed a 1.8L ECU or that you're just surprised that we STILL haven't found what it is yet?

I'm guessing the 1.8L might have different fuel/timing maps that may help this engine. I'm sre it might have a negative effect somewhere though, but who knows.

Default Re: OEM ECU for tib(can be broken or good)

I think it's the 1.8 ecu from an automatic car, I've been using one for the past 2 years since I fried my ecu in my '01 tib and it was the only one I could find in a hurry, I did notice a little diference with it but nothing amazing. I just had to go back to a 2.0 ecu cause I was getting allot of detonation since I put the turbo in and now it's fine, the 1.8ecu must have a more advanced timing curve, no good if you go turbo.

Yeah... the 1.8L ECU would be no wiser than the Accent ECU on a Beta 2L engine if you ask me...

Default Success!

^^^

But no one DID ask you.

Again, the info is coming, but this is getting silly. I've got more PM's in the past 3 days and more IM's about this than anything ever.

Sorta proves somethin eh?

2 guys with under 100 Posts combined say "Ehh, no improvement really".

Guess I drive my car more eh?
