Well random, with those mods is it better to run a 2.25" free flow cat with a 2.25" catback, or a 2.5" free flow cat with a 2.5" cat-back?

Thats the question I need awnsered.

Isnt the HVE ceramic coated header a 2.5" diametere where it meets the cat?

use a high flow cat
dont use free flow cats

1 free flow cat emits the same pollution levels as 100 stock or high flow cats

plus,... YOU WILL get a check engine light

get a high flow cat
car sound is the best
if you have a 5 speed go with a 2.5 exhaust all around 4-1 headers, 2.5 high flow cat, and 2.5 catback

if you have an autotragic,... get a 2.25 all around

i believe HVE headers are 2.5

a free flow cat is a cat that has been hollowed out

everything that usually cleans out pollution is removed

so the car spits out raw pollution that has not been filtered
performance wise, it does help.
But,... if you ever have to pass a smog check,... you will NEVER pass
just get a high flow cat
you get filtering and performance
do it the right way

Best cat back is a custom made one smile.gif yes hi flow cat not free flow, plus if you use a free flow you will loose some low end and it you don't have a super or turbo and use 2.5" you will get stagnant air in the exuast, ie loose power.
