^^ can you please explain in more detail how this piece of high temp hose works? where to I get this hose, how big? I'm confused...but sounds like an excellent solution.

Also, did you notice any changes in idle rpm's after installation of exhaust?

here's my deal:
my car (before installation) always idled at 800 to max 1,000 rpms....but 95% of the time it was at 800rpms.

after install:
when starting car in morning (so engine is cold) car idles at 1700rpms
after car warms up the idle speed dramatically decreases and bounces from almost dying (500rpms) to 800. It bounces like this usually three times and then settles at 800rpms.

After a relativelely long drive (1hr) the car idles like normal

^is that normal with a bigger cat-back exhaust?

If you look under the rear of the car right in front of the bumper. The MBRP uses a hanger which is located right infront of the cut-out hole for the exhaust tip. You basically need a piece of high temp hose that covers the straight mount (level with the top of the cut out. I then put a small zip tie on one side that the muffler does not touch just to make sure it wouldnt move. As long as it isnt raining when I get home I will take a pic of it if not the next clear day I will take a pic and post it up.

As for the RPM's I did notice a little difference but I later installed a new TB and turned the RPM's up so that my Flex fans dont turn the car off  . My RPM's right now are about 1100 when cold and 1200 when warm.

Well another option is Tim's exhaust he is currently working on.

It's based of the apexxi with an N1 muffler. That's what I am going to be going with.

You guys are having idling problems on 2.25? That is rather odd... I've never heard of cars having idling problems related to exhaust size. You sure its related to the exhaust? Mine is 2.5in and idles fine, it'll drop down to 800 every once in a while and stutter a tad, but thats only when my fans decide to turn on. Every other time, when I start the car in the morning it idles @ 1300RPM and slowly comes down to the normal 1000RPM. Which brings me to why is Ultra's car idling slower when its cold? LOL. lol.gif All your cars are broken.

hm, well, we are revising the exhaust so when we get the revised version, it should be perfect.

and pricing is 399 plus 59 shipping...not bad for a new exhaust. if you like a nice rumble, that's not too loud...ark is a great choice. but in the end it's up to you.

and I don't like 2.25diam exhausts since I lost no low end whatsoever on my 2.5.

are you sure about this?? cuz i know i definately lost some low end with my mbrp install. ....and as for the rattle i just put the extra rubber hanger on the hanger by the muffler and no rattle.......

the ark exhaust system does wonders for the new tiburons. THe sound is amazing. I'm sure it sounds just as great on the RD's. good price too, I thought it was a bit higher.

I'm glad we actually have CHOICES now when it comes to cat-backs.

I'm not sure if it's the exhaust that's causing my idling problems. It started after I put the exhaust on, and what else woudl cause my car to begin idling at 1500-1700 on cold mornings and after warming up it starts to almost die at about 500-600rpms (I can feel engine bog) then pops up to 800-900. After doing this three times (always three) it stays at just below 1,000. ..............? I dunno. What else causes idle problems?
