wow. so AEM and INJEN made the same type of intake for the Tiburon.

Does that mean that putting the filter in the fenderwell isnt the best place?

confused
I guarentee you that the reason they didn't design the intake to go into the fender well is that not all tibbies were created equal. Revision A tiburons have a charcoal canister located in the fender. So a *1 size fits all* system was in order to keep costs down, minimize R&D downtime, make their application marketable to all tiburon owners(1st & 2nd gen at least) and maximize profitability.

It's kinda like underwear. If it's custom tailored, it's gonna be expensive.

Rich.

Apparently a lot of people have found that Random's underwear fit fairly well.

I have my prices already, and it's alot cheaper than I thought
I'll be sportin' one soon...but I want to go turbo too. Dammit. Choices, choices, choices.
I have the Section-8 CAI in my tib right now, but at the shows, AEM is a much better name, and if a Hyundai enthusiast approaches me in Chi-Town, abouut my CAI, I don't have to try to give hime directions to a little WI town. The cost difference is a beyotch though...the Section-8 CAI is going for right around $150, but the battery tray has to be cut if the batt's not already in the trunk, so mail order is out...plus, don't need to step on any toes out there wink

The only thing I don't have is pics...anybody have some? I would imagine that they come in the usual AEM colors. Pricing is better than the Injen does it have the top elbow?

Section-8,

I have pics of it, but I can't show them yet (not until they hit the dealer's shelves). I actually have a pic AEM sent me of the prototype on Spiffy's car.

It will come in silver, blue, red and polished and does not include the top elbow.

We'll have a full review on it and pictures and an install guide on HP.Com when it launches Sunday .

Still waiting for it to come in. It's nice to know I'll be the first in the world with an AEM intake for the 97 - 01 Tiburons! tongue.gif

Those numbers on their chart for torque is crazy. My car was doing something really weird at 4,000 RPM.

8.1 HP increase
11.3 torque increase ... Nice!

Can't wait til it comes in!!
